This ability to “step into someone else’s shoes” enables them to connect more deeply with the needs of their communities and think beyond their own experiences. Through empathy, they learn to approach problems with compassion and respect, which helps them create solutions that are truly impactful and meaningful.
Collaboration
Collaboration is at the heart of our program because change is rarely accomplished alone. We teach children the value of working together, listening to diverse viewpoints, and sharing ideas to enhance problem-solving. By participating in group activities and discussions, they experience the power of teamwork, understanding how different strengths can combine to create something bigger than any one individual could achieve alone.
Iterative Mindset
An iterative mindset is about understanding that problem-solving is a journey, not a destination. We teach children that there’s no “one right answer” in design; instead, solutions are built through continuous learning, testing, and refining. By embracing this approach, they learn to view setbacks as learning opportunities and to persist in the face of challenges. They discover that even simple ideas can become powerful solutions with time and perseverance.
